Take the Tri Borough Bridge to the Major Deegan Expressway North (87). Take I87 past Yankee Stadium and through the Bronx and Yonkers. You’ll go through a toll, pass a rest stop on the right, and then a few miles farther north you’ll see signs for the Saw Mill Parkway North. Take the exit for the Saw Mill Parkway North and merge onto the parkway. When the parkway breaks out into 3 lanes you’ll be approaching the intersection of the Taconic Parkway North. Bear right to get on the Taconic Parkway North. Once on the Taconic, take the second exit after getting on the Taconic – Rt9A/100 North. Exit crosses over highway and puts you directly on 9A/100 north. Bear Left at split of 9A/100 (stay on 9A). Go through 3 traffic lights – 3rd light is Rt. 134. First exit after you pass 134 is Hawkes Avenue. Exit right onto Hawkes Ave. Right turn on Hawkes – follow to the end – stop sign. Take a right onto Spring Valley Road. Studio is 2nd house on right – #50 – steep driveway bordered by a retaining wall on the right side – 2 black mailboxes at bottom of driveway. Drive up to the top. Walk up the ramp and the studio entrance is at the back of the house.
Take Henry Hudson Parkway into the Saw Mill Parkway. When the parkway breaks out into 3 lanes you’ll be approaching the intersection of the Taconic Parkway. Bear right to get on the Taconic Parkway North. Once on the Taconic, take the second exit after getting on the Taconic Rt9A/100 North. Exit crosses over highway and puts you directly on 9A/100 north. Bear Left at split of 9A/100 (stay on Rt.9A). Go through 3 traffic lights – 3rd light is Rt. 134. First exit after you pass 134 is Hawkes Avenue. Exit right onto Hawkes Ave. Right turn on Hawkes – follow to the end – stop sign. Take a right onto Spring Valley Road. Studio is 2nd house on right – #50 – steep driveway bordered by a retaining wall on the right – 2 black mailboxes at bottom of driveway – drive up to the top. Walk up the ramp and the studio entrance is at the back of the house.
Take Whitestone Bridge and continue straight onto the Hutchinson River Parkway North. Follow the Hutch north for about 10 minutes until you reach the exit for the Cross County Pkwy (west). Right-hand exit and steep curve onto the Cross County. After a few minutes on the Cross County, exit off to the right on to the Sprain Brook Parkway North / Bronx River Pkwy North. Soon after you are on the Parkway, it splits – stay left on the Sprain Brook Parkway. Sprain Brook Pkwy eventually becomes Taconic Pkwy. After about 20 minutes or so on the Sprain Brook, you will pass the exit for the Saw Mill Parkway. Take the 2nd exit after you pass the Saw Mill Pkwy labeled Rt 9A/100 North. (Note: there is another exit for 9A/100 before the Saw Mill but you will get lost if you take it !) Exit crosses over the Taconic and puts you directly on 9A/100 north. Bear Left at split of 9A/100 (stay on Route 9A). Go through 3 traffic lights – 3rd light is Route 134. First exit after you pass 134 is Hawkes Avenue. Exit right onto Hawkes Ave. Right turn on Hawkes – follow to the end – stop sign. Take a right onto Spring Valley Road. Studio is 2nd house on right – #50 – steep driveway bordered by a retaining wall on the right – 2 black mailboxes at bottom of driveway – drive up to the top. Walk up the ramp and the studio entrance is at the back of the house.
Take New York State Thruway south to Harriman area. Take Rt 6 East towards Bear Mountain Bridge. Take care NOT to get on the Palisades Parkway heading SOUTH! Cross the Bear Mountain Bridge and bear to the right. Follow the winding road to the bottom where you’ll bear right again and follow the signs to Rt. 9/9A south. Take Rt. 9 south through Peekskill and Croton-on-Hudson. Once past Croton, the highway splits into Rt 9A and Rt 9. Stay to the right on Rt. 9 (Ossining) and proceed to the first light. Take a left at the light onto Old Albany Post Road. Your second right turn will be Ogden Road – up a very steep hill. Follow Ogden to the top past the condo developments. At the top, turn left onto Cedar lane. Go straight at the stop sign and pass under a bridge and the road will become Spring Valley Road. Continue straight on Spring Valley until you see Hawkes Avenue on your right (There’s a big Yellowish house on the corner of Hawkes and Spring Valley). Go past Hawkes Ave and the yellowish house and look for the next driveway on the right. #50 Spring Valley Road. It’s a steep driveway on the right with 2 black mailboxes at the base of the driveway and a retaining wall on the right bordering the driveway. Drive on up to the top. Walk up the ramp and the studio entrance is at the back of the house.
Take the Taconic Parkway south to the Ossining Exit – Route 134 West. Go west on 134 for 3 miles until you come to a light and route 9A. Go right (North) on 9A and take your first exit on Hawkes avenue. Note: Hawkes comes up very quickly, you’ll only be on Rt 9A for 300 feet ! Take a right turn on Hawkes Avenue and follow it to the end. At the stop sign, take a right on Spring Valley Road. Look for the second house on the right – #50 Spring Valley Road. It’s a steep driveway on the right with 2 black mailboxes at the base of the driveway and a retaining wall on the right bordering the driveway. Drive on up to the top. Walk up the ramp and the studio entrance is at the back of the house.
From Rt 84 – Take I-684 South to Rt. 35 West. Right turn on Rt. 35. Left Turn on Route 100 South. 6 miles to Route 134 West (Ossining). Right Turn on 134. Follow for 5 miles until you come to a light and route 9A. Go right (North) on 9A and take your first exit on Hawkes avenue. Note: Hawkes comes up very quickly, you’ll only be on Rt 9A for 300 feet ! Take Rt.87 (NYS Thruway) north past Yankee Stadium and thru Yonkers. Highway splits into Rt. 287 East/West. Go West on 287 towards the Tappan Zee Bridge. Last exit before the bridge is Rt. 9. Take this exit and head north on Rt. 9 through Tarrytown. Continue north through Sleepy Hollow, Briarcliff and Ossining. As you pass through Ossining, you will pass Rt. 133 near the center of town. After you pass Rt.133, Continue straight on Rt. 9 down into a valley and then up out of the valley – this is your landmark. Once up and out of the valley, at your second light, take a right turn onto Cedar Lane. There will be a “Mavis Tire” on your right just before the turn. Follow Cedar Lane straight through 4 stop signs and pass under a stone bridge. Continue straight for a little over a mile and you will pass Hawkes avenue on your right. There is a yellowish house literally right on the road at the corner of Hawkes avenue. Drive past this house and turn right into the next driveway – #50 – steep driveway bordered by a retaining wall on the right side – 2 black mailboxes at bottom of driveway – Trucks should drive past the driveway, make a U-Turn at Glendale road (just past driveway on left) and then back up into the driveway. Not to worry, plenty of room for a 5 ton truck. Drive up to the top. Walk up the ramp and the studio entrance is at the back of the house.
